The Poppy Project

The Poppy Project is a tribute to Canadian veterans and their families a growing blanket of knitted and crocheted poppies that honors the courage, sacrifices, and resilience of those who have served in the Canadian military and who have been impacted by war. Each poppy is a symbol of remembrance and a hope for peace… lest we forget.

The Poppy Project is on display leading up to Remembrance Day and has also been at the No Stone Left Alone ceremony and the Remembrance Day service at the New Westminster Armoury.

We invite you to contribute by crafting a poppy to add to the blanket. Together. let’s make this a lasting symbol for Remembrance Day in New Westminster.

We offer heartfelt thanks for the support of The Royal Westminster Regiment, the City of New Westminster, and the Knit 1, Take 2 knitting group.
